Recently installed the kit, and all seems to be functioning well. I removed the original brackets for the OEM cooler, is it correct that the STM kit only mounts to the vehicle with one bolt with the supplied bracket? It seems solid enough, but was just curious to make sure I've installed correctly. Couldn't find instructions, just literally looked at the pics of the kit on the STM website.

I have this kit on my evo 8 and it's bolted to the frame with one bolt.

 

Same, its one bolt. I think I may fab up a second

 

I don't like the fact its hanging off 1 bolt. If the bolt/threads are rusted and drops, then it will be pulled right under the tire. I would suggest zip tying the other corner to the chassis as a safety measure.

 

I just took the car across country from SC to AZ, so roughly 2.2K miles. Oil cooler held fine, even with one bolt setup, so not too worried now 😀 will keep an eye on it though
