Stumbling/Idling Funky, Wideband Reading Super Rich

Hey guys so I have this issue out of nowhere where my car is driving terribly when I’m around 20-25% throttle (very light gas when just trying to mainatain speed and distance beteeen the car in front of you). It occurred in tandem with a P0031 (Heated O2 Sensor Hester Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 1) and sounds and almost like misfiring or something. Wideband reads really rich when it does it (11.5ish), when normally at these throttle positions I’d be running pretty lean (almost oscillating AFR from bigger, low Z injectors I assume).
I bought a new O2 sensor but I wanted to get more info before I dive into the job... are these normal symptoms for s bad 02? Just happened out of nowhere and I was just messing with the exhaust. The front O2 wasn’t even touched! Just the rear and Wideband.
any insight would be appreciated!

Failed O2 sensors generally cause a rich condition. I would definitely replace the sensor and go from there.

Will do, I’ll go ahead and replace it ASAP and see what happens.
The car still pulls really nice at WOT though, is that something to do with closed/open loop switch?

O2 Sensors are only referenced during closed loop. So that is correct.

💯 your O2 sensor. I just had the same issue a few months back. Rock auto has it cheap if you haven't gotten one yet

I am SOOO happy guys, it was the O2 sensor! Problem completely fixed.
All I needed was a 22mm wrench (I used an adjustable) and to take the heat shield off. Super easy. I have an 8/9 btw and stock mani, for anyone wondering if you can get in there without removing stuff.
