Hi all,

I’ve got some issues with my Evo 8. It holds back and stotters at WOT. I’m not sure what it is at this point.

When at lower rpm’s, giving it full throttle, the boost and rpm’s start building up, but when the turbo should really kick in the whole car holds back.
The AFR shows 14.7 but at that point it drops below 10. I would almost say it feels like a hose is being compressed and air flow is stopped.

AVC-R shows turbo reaches 1.5bar as it should.
Car is equipped with an Evo IX turbo and full exhaust, other than that very little is known on the setup as the paperwork got lost at the buying process - long story. Should make some 340-350hp.

Spark plugs are changed but did not make any difference.

Sounds like a tuning issue or spark blow out. What are you gapping the plugs to?
