Evo 8 whining/humming noise

Couldn’t find a specific post that was similar to mine and also I just had my transmission rebuilt by shep trans if that’ll brighten up the situation a little , I have this humming/whining noise, it specifically becomes louder at third and fourth gear. But can mostly hear it during fourth gear. I’m not too quite sure what it is, but I’ve looked around and it could be the actual transmission, fluids, transfer case, maybe something to do with wheel bearings. Would like your input on this.

youtube link to show how it sounds like -->

Im liken that kind of NVH. May not be an issue at all.

Possible result of the rebuild?

What level of rebuild was this?

It was the ultimate ratio by shep trans. I’m not entirely sure if that whining is a bad thing.

Suggest you put the car up and check all gear box fluid levels.

My guess is t-case. While driving and hearing the noise take it out of gear and see if the noise changes or goes away.

i do that sometimes, and it slowly starts to go away, but you’ll still hear it until you come to a stop, it doesn’t do it in first or second gear, but mostly is noticeable at third and a lot noticeable in fourth
