Question Gauge Accuracy?

The EVO is long overdue for a few gauges before upgrading...how accurate are the different manufactures' gauges? Is anybody satisfied or dissatisfied with their gauge calibrations?

Later,

jcnel.

I have an Autometer boost gauge that I believe is off. I believe it measures too low.

I heard that Defi gauges read to high, but have not seen any proof. I hear greddy and HKS make good gauges. I'm still deciding on what gauges to go with that look good. Really want a boost gauge that reads PSI and is sexy at the same time.

For what it's worth, my Defi boost gauge (regular Defi-link, not the BR) and HKS Dual TT boost gauge pretty much agree on peak boost and minimum vacuum (+/- 0.2psi)

I've had good experiences with the accuracy and quality of the Autometer Pro-Comp and Sport-Comp gauges.. the other style autometers I'd question their accuracy.

Check out the APEXi El Gauges. My El boost and greddy Profec both read within 1 psi of eachother. Another thing to take into consideration is where you tap in to the vacuum source. Some locations will give you more accurate readings than others. Also the length of vacuum tube will determine accuracy, the shorter the tube the more accurate it will be.
