Hey all, some questions regarding some pipes :)

Hi all,

As some of you may know, I installed my BR FMIC last weekend and I ordered my minibattery/upperpipes and received them today. I went ahead and installed the minibattery and the upper pipes, but I encountered some problems.

First, I have the AEM intake. I'm having a ***** of a time getting the tube from the 1g valve to sit flush in the hole for it on the intake. Maybe it's just the pipe from the intake, but it's giving me a ****load of problems. I've been trying to fool around with the coupler on the turbo, hopefully that solves some problems.

Second, as you guys know, the AEM filter is ridiculously MASSIVE. I've had hood rubbing problems before, and every time I get the tube almost nearly on the intake, the damn filter rubs like a ***** on the top. Has anyone tried using a different filter on the AEM? I'm really about to just place an order for an Apexi filter and slap it on there, or maybe a nice 52 dollar lancershop.com intake. What do you guys think?

Overall, i'm thoroughly impressed with Buschur products (never cease to let me down), and i can't wait to get this all done. I started her up and revvd it a bit. I sure missed having a 1g valve .

Shane

Two things:

First, try removing the BOV from the upper I/C piping, get the BOV sitting comfortably in the AEM intake and screw the clamps down tight, then reattach the upper I/C piping.

Second, call up AEM. They'll send you a smaller filter if you talk to their warranty guy.

Good luck.

Thanks Bonus, i'm gonna give this a call today.

I've seen the upgraded AEM filter, and it's still pretty damn massive . I was thinking something along the lines of the buschur or the apexi. I don't think it'll fit correctly completely with this setup utilizing an AEM filter.

Either way, i'm gonna fool with the coupler a bit more and try what you said. I really seem to lack logic sometimes. Thanks for the idea.
