'96 Evo IV GSR, temporary FWD conversion?
Hi! At some point when I can afford it, I'd like to have my transmission and transfer box rebuilt, but I'd like to be able to use the car in the meantime.
Is there a recipe for a bolt-on FWD conversion available? I'm in Sweden, so I was thinking maybe I could buy a transmission from a ~1998 Galant 4G63 SOHC 16V NA maybe?
Shift linkage looks the same or at least very similar, but how good/bad would the CV/driveshaft/axle and clutch situation be?

Used evo gearboxes are around 800 eur, and transfers cost similar money... better buy that one and have it rebuilt or rebuild yours... much easier to sell afterwards..

But yes, that's one way to go, but I seriously doubt I can find gearbox+transfer for that money, especially not in Sweden, everything is rare and expensive AF here I feel like.
