Help on DPs.

Do all down pipes come with a build in flex pipe? I see some not having it. I'm concerned by not having it that it may produce some leaks on the flanges. I see the HKS and RSR don't have it. Any down pipes that come with the flex pipe? Thanks.

Stock DP don't have flex joints. It has donut type gasket at the upper flanges instead. HKS, RMR, Helix, and some others use the stock donut gasket.

i think lancershop and meganracing dp's has a flex section on it but i think its not necessary for a flex section since you might just end up with a leak.

Ultimate racing uses a flex section and it clears the lower bars.

You need either a flex OR the stock donut style gasket to allow the downpipe to move a bit.

Some units that use a stock donut are HKS, Turbo XS and Tanabe

Some that use a flex are Ultimate Racing

How you execute it honestly makes no difference, so long as its a well made pipe. All the nes mentioned in the thread so far are good brands.

Not all clear the stock tie bars though - so something to ask your supplier about before buying.
