Thumbs up Best Way to Spend a G under the hood?

I just saved up a 1000 to spend on my Evo and I plan to spend it all under the hood. Was just wondering if you guys have any suggestions for me to make the most out of my moneys worth. (any performance packages out there worth buying?)

I currently only have a 2 mods -

Greddy Type-s BOV. and the HKS Hi-power Exhaust.

The thing I want to improve the most is the acceleration on the Evo. I want to make it pick up faster. Wat can I do with my money.

Thanks!

Vishnu X-flash reflash($400), UR Test pipe ($100), UR Downpipe ($300), and Vishnu Cam Gears ($280). Total $1080.

I highly recommend a reflash over anything. That is worth about 25-30hp right there.

i think you guys are all forgetting half the **** can't be done or done safetly without a pro... labor charge will probably zap 30 or 40% of ur 1 G.. sorry pal... if you REALLY want a bang for ur money... go with what twan says.. any exhaust or boost related can be done yourself... and then get a mail-in flash... you'll be hitting close to 300 whp by then.. screw any fuel management.. your cost will skyrocket

I agree 100% with twan: Those are my mods, and I'm getting huge power for small $$. Since you've already got the exhaust, I'd say downpipe/hiflow cat (or delete), boost control (cheap manual controller) and Dynoflash. Al has a mail-in for those mods that should get you around 300whp and well over 300lbft.

mail in dynoflash (175), mbc (75), UR downpipe (325), UR cat delete ((75) No CEL), SS clutch line (33), fuel pump (90), HKS suction pipe with Apex-i filter (320). That puts you at 1093, and you should have WELL over 300whp. The SS clutch line isn't going to make it faster, and I know you meant engine mods when you said under the hood, but it will improve the feel of the whole car drastically. All of these mods can easily be installed at home with basic tools, and a one-time tuning cost should be minimal. my $.02
