brake dust

No it wouldnt. The dust is from the pads not the rotor.

Slotted rotors cause the same or more dusting than smooth rotors due to the added abrasion on the pads. The point of the slots is to wipe the pad clean and allow any air/water/dust trapped between the pad and the rotor face to escape out the slots.

Dusting is a good sign. It means you are using a performance pad.

humm.. im pretty new to the boards and i dont post very often.. but i had to on this one. i have a vishnu stage 1 plus evo thats putting down about 350-360 to the wheels on 110 octane on stock turbo i have the jic flta 2's, and i have been runnin 2 sets of stock tires for my cars 11k miles. i am big into nasa and i run every month... at infineon and thunderhill. from what ive seen the evo is unvbeatable. I am in division 3 hpde and ive raced z06's, stis, 911s and various other fast cars but i have yet to find a street car that has given me problems. I also run the local back roads every weekend and i have yet to find a car that can match the evo on the mountain pass. I also go to the nightly straight line acceleration comparissons in oakland and hayward and ive yet to loose to similarily modified stis, so from my experiences the evolution is far superior to the sti in all aspects, and 3 of my friends that own evos feel the same.

as far as the brakes are concerned the evo stops like a foot or 2 more thean the enzo.. so its brakes are strong fade is a prob on the track during heavy braking at straightway exits.. i ran off thunderhill 3 times last time out. Shiv told me t ferrodo 3000 pads are awesome and he used them in his 1 lap of america challenge car so if they r good enough for his car they are good enough for me.

BRKENG - Care to talk about brake judder ??

You guys complain about brake fade .. never really noticed that .. but like almost 70% of the owners (export and JDM versions alike) complained about brake judder (or warpage) !!!

I have not HEARD any USDM with warped brakes .. yet

Anyway .. EBC's are good .. and not alot of dust !!
