Ignition Issues?

My engine is turning over, but it takes a while for it to crank. I mean like 10-15 seconds before it fires. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

It's getting electricity. Everything powers up. It's alomst as if all the fuel that is in the line/rail is not pressurized. Like when you change a fuel pump and you have to release all the pressure in the rail. It's almost like getting the pressure back into the rail everytime I start the car after it's been sitting for a while. Any ideas? Anyone?

Can you perform a leak down test? Maybe it's getting a little flooded after sitting a while.

Interesting. It only happens to me when the car has not been operated in 6 hours or longer. It's about 50 degrees here so I'm not too sure about the heat affecting it either. It's very finicky. When I left my office a few minutes ago it cranked right up. Oh well, doing the leakdown test later to see what's up. Thanks for the suggestions so far, and if anyone has more suggestions feel free to chime in.

have you done any modifications to the car yet? (I'm not sure if you mentioned it before)

My car does it in cold weather, I went with colder plugs, and it seems to take a bit longer to fire on cold days.. fouled plugs can also have the same effect. If you do a leakdown test, check your plugs, and adjust the gap to a .026 or so.. it should help a little on stock heat range plugs if their not really fouled.

My car is modded, and I do have colder range plugs. When it's cold outside it fires right up. When it's warm it takes a while to fire up. I will check the plugs after the leakdown test to see what's up. I did gap them to .27 when I changed them out. Hopefully they arent fouled. Damn Iridium plugs are expensive. I've tuned myself to 11.5 so they should be alright. I'll let everyone know. Thanks again for the responses.
