Yeah they are pretty good for quick shifting. You realy won't notice them that much during normal driving. Not saying they don't help in normal driving, but you realy notice the difference when slamming into 2nd... Boom! you're there! Go on ebay real quick and search for " Lancer Evolution" go to page 7 or 8. The Speed Source guy has them on there right now for pretty cheap. If you don't get them there go with LancerShop.com, they are awesome. Also go ahead and get the 2pc. and the 8pc. sets, you might as well save on shipping because you will want the 2pc. kit after you get the 8pc.

Enjoy

Just for info purposes, they aren't brass. The color is an anit-corosive coating. I beleive they are actually steel cause they weigh quite a bit. I have both sets and highly recommend them.

I have both the shifter base bushings and the linkage ones. Like myevo8u said, you don't notice them as much in normal driving (other than a slightly incresed vibration in the shift lever). But once you start getting serious, gear engagement is more solid and precise. The 1-2 Upshift is quick and direct, and the 3-2 Downshift (when heel toeing to match revs) is tight and direct as well.

Question

Do the bushings allieviate the potential missed shift? or is it just a bandaid or sugarpill?

I have not had a problem with missed shifts, and I am running stock fuilds. I like the more positive feel of these bushings, and will be changing to BG synchroshift synthetic sometime this summer. Since I have not had the problem yet (even on the stock bushings), it is hard for me to say if these help.
