Patch Harness Trouble

I just wired up my path harness, went, plugged it all in with the AFC. Car is at HIGH idle, and wont rev past 4k. Knock meter is reading 30+, not sure what the scale is there. Now, when I took the AFC off it STILL did it. When I took the harness off, problem gone. Now...there are a remaining white and yellow wire on the AFC harness, and I dont know where they go....obviously its a wiring problem.

Do a search for this.. Its been posted about quite a few times already.. Anyway, there ARE wires left over, their the connectors for the sensor type that our car doesn't use.

Sounds like you might have either counted wrong, or had the cable "Backwards" when you spliced into it.. though I suspect you'd also get a check engine light.. However the car probably won't rev over 4000rpm because the MAF sensor may not be reporting anything "normal"

Normal values for the MAF sensor at Idle should be 25-35Hz, at higher RPM it should be 1400+ Hz

Again, search for the S-AFC and Extension/Patch harness.. these symptoms are very familiar and have been described before.

I know this search contains at least 3 links to users who have had wiring trouble, and suggestions to resolve it.. There's also an S-AFC guide which I wrote last year.
