Angry A/F gauge problem :helpme:

For some reason it just doesnt work. Tried another gauge and i got the same problem so I assumed it was the oxygen sensor.Bought a brand new 4 wire O2 sensor and installed it.Same thing....

anyone have any idea what else it may be?
thanks___

Just how did you wire it up? Which guage was it also? Just because the gausge does not work does not mean the O2 is not working. If the O2 was not working a check engine light would appear and the Air Fuel would be all over the place causeing the car to run very very rich!

they were both autometer gauges..
but the thing is that it worked all the time for like 2 yrs and now all of a sudden.
it does work actually but the gauge only reads lean.but the car is not running lean because no matter how much i increase the fuel(till it even black smokes on idle) the gauge still reads lean.that's what lead me to believe that it may have been the O2 sensor.Check engine light never came on though.
will check the wiring and let u know..
