another turbo and another tune...
new agp roadrace turbo- dynod
New results after getting the fuel system done and a new turbo to replace the gt40. 100 octane at 21 psi. After a little more tuning on the ems, on 5th gear roll on, it hits 1.5 bar at 3700 rpm. Still making decent power over 8k.
This setup is for 3500 to 8200 powerband. I will post c16 numbers after it is dialed, but figure 500whp at 25 psi without lag and a really wide powerband. This is not a dynoqueen setup: it is for the track so I am taking it easy on the boost.
Aem ems for fuel management, bjcs stage 4++ head and intake manifold from quantum racing and agp custom turbo. It is a garrett based full bb setup.
Dyno was initial base tune with stock cat. It is spooling really hard now by 3700 without the cat.

Nice numbers and I'm loving the head. How much was the Stage 5 head and intake mani?
I would like to do the fuel mod you have. I saw it in one the the magazines last month.
Any way I could convice you to do a write up for the procedure and a small diagram in the how to/installation section?
Thanks

See the diagram above. I designed it with some help from Mark at www.quantum-racing.com and it was plumbed by www.gtfabrications.com who also made the surge tank.
I welded the base brackets to the trunk with studs and made an aluminum bracket that the pumps sit on and the battery box assembly.

You may want to get some of those rubber feet to stand the accumulator off from the base to help avoid vibration. One of my local race fab guys thought that might be a nice little touch.
Lookin' good!

Nice job! The fuel system you have is really trick; I've been wondering about different approaches to fuel starvation on track days. When I get close to 1/4 tank I start to get nervous.
I can't remember, are you are running the Piper Rally or Piper Race cams?

Maybe I'm nuts but that photo looks exactly like Simon Norris's car. It has a cell and no swirlpot/sumped setup, no? Did you attach the right picture? Those are Bosch 044 pumps, if I'm not mistaken.
