Timing belt question

How far off would the timing be if the timing belt jumped off the crank sprocket and moved one notch? I installed HKS 272 cams and Fidanza cam gears and when I got the gears on the gears lined up a little BTDC when the crack was TDC. Its not much just a small amount off. Also the timing belt seems to make a lot of noise now when I turn the crank. Is this normal?

Thanks

I can't remember the per-tooth measurement (2.5 degrees?), but if you're having unusual noise, I'd definitly go back in and check things out carefully. The last thing you want is your valves and pistons meeting. If there is a problem with your timing belt tension, you could be on a fast track to that kind of trouble.
