Help! GReddy BOV adjustment screw broken

I bought a used Greddy BOV from someone off DSMtrader for cheap - as it turns out, the BOV's adjustment screw is broken (it only comes out an extra cm after the nut). It looks like a normal screw for the most part, without a head. Is there a way I can buy a new adjustment screw from Greddy, or can I just go to the local hardware store and pick up a new screw?

Or actually, I just remember reading that most people got good results by having the adjustment screw all the way out. Does that mean I can just loosen the screw so that it is almost all the way out? (in which case, it wouldn't matter if the screw is cut short on the other end)
