boost question
What conditions determine how much boost the car will make. on a full throttle run
my car will sometimes make a max of only 18psi and then 18.5 the next run. ( my
gauge reads in atmopheres that would be 1.22-1.26, 19psi would be 1.29.) should
my car be producing the full 19 psi every time or is heat a factor ? i noticed a slight
boost increase with the manual watersprayer or am i imagining things . thx to all- i
am still a novice.

Are you using a MBC or EBC?
Stock, I'm boosting at 1.15 kg/cm2 in 1st gear. I can get up to 1.2-1.25 kg/cm2 in the other gears. It will momentarely spike to 1.3 on a good day. It's not really consistent with the stock actuator. My readings are off the optional Mitsubishi boost gauge.

Air density, outside temp, Intercooler efficiency, the condition of the Diverter valve (blowoff valve) can all contribute to your boost levels.
The intercooler sprayer should assist on cooling the air a bit more on a warmer day therefore you may indeed see slightly higher boost (denser air) though it shouldn't really be noticable on the gauge...
The stock boost controller, and a manual boost controller will both vary a little based on conditions.. even how hot the car is (back to back runs) will effect peak boost to some level.
On a bone stock vehicle.. depending on weather conditions and altitude, the normal range of boost at peak will be 18.0 to 19.5 or so..
