idle better with 264/272..... more low end power also... better top end on the 272's.... if your getting a larger turbo and cam gears get the 272's...... dont be a wussy ;P , lol

I have 272's.. they'll probably be a bit of overkill with a stock turbo, but I do intend to run cam gears and the -4/-1 timing to shift the powerband a little and improve the idle a bit..

It depends on what you want.. Everything is compromizes.. however the HKS cams are not super radical all things considering.. so try to match it to your mods... The combo is good, but I say if your considering 264/272's then just go the 272/272's...

I love my daily driver setup, 264intake /272 exhaust. Once you are reving higher in the rpm range, the 272 sounds crazy, it prowls like a monster especially when u are WOT!

does anyone have a dyno sheet of 272/272 vs 264/272? that would be awesome. I want to upgrade my cams too. What did you guys upgrade on your engine? just cams and camgears? Do you need to do valve springs or anything else?

264/264 would be my choice. That setup combo with GT30R.

I think people have done tests with them already.....for the stock turbo, general consensus is straight 264's from hks for the better idle because the top end power difference is minimal while you gain back some of the lower end. If you're planning to upgrade turbos, get the 272's straight for intake/exhaust because you'll need to breath up top. If you're not getting a bigger turbo yet but plan to, get the 272's and use that -4/-1 thing silver surfer talked about, people seem to get good results for that to idle well. None of these cams need valvetrain upgrades, just swap them in. Later down the course, if you decide you want to take the redline beyond 8k, then upgrade your valvetrain...of course this would usually mean you should upgrade other stuff also by that point.
