Green Filter

Hello all,
I am new to this forum but am not new to the EVO 8 platform. I come from a heavily modified '97 Eclipse GSX that was sold to acquire and EVO. Well, my question is I have been reading a lot and noticed that the common consensus regarding air filters is to stick with the stock format. If so I noticed that the K&N drop in seems to be the popular choice...has anybody had any experience with the Green filter line of filters?

They seem to be a better alternative for our a cars since they tout the use of woven cotton that holds oil better and flows better due to the reduced use of layers.

If anybody has had any experience with these filters on their car please feel free to chime in. Additionally, if you know of any vendors that carry the green filter line of products for our cars please include that info as well.

Dan

Green was supposed to come out with a drop-in filter for the US Evo but they still haven't (as of a month and a half ago they hadn't). They keep saying next week it will be out but it never comes out. Most people use the K&N because of their decent reputation and the filter has supposedly yielded 5-7 whp gains on peoples' evos. I went for the K&N for that reason also. There is also the HKS, Monster, and Ralliart drop-ins as well. Hope this helps a bit.

Actually, Dynoflash (another member/vendor) has dyno proof that the HKS RS intake yeilded 7whp gain also.

I had a Green filter on my Citroen Saxo VTS back at home a few years ago. Just like a K&N only green. K&N didn't make one for the little french car. No complaints here

Thank you all for the information. From what I have searched the web on and what I have read it appears that the Green filter seems to be more favorably like by people who have had experience with both brands. The trick is just finding a distributor/vendor who can find one for our cars.

So far my search has revealed that in fact Green does make a filter for our cars but hasn't updated their website. This is the link that seems to show that they have filters in the UK:
