ACT clutch with heavy-duty disc installed. Question?
I got ACT clutch with heavy-duty disc installed by the dealer yesterday. It engages very smooth and easy to shift just like stock.
My question is that I got a vibrate when starting from the first gear. It likes the way the front-wheel drive car torque. But as soon as I gave it gas to about 3500 RPM then it went away. No problem after that, it's only happen in first gear. Is this normal? Maybe the clutch need to be break-in? It's smell too.
Anybody experienced this? Thank you for your inputs. Have a good day guys/gals.

its normal, its supose to smell at first too, its just breaking in. all is well
I drive my car pretty easy and baby it from starts, with my ACT clutch + heavy duty disc (exedy) supplied by RRE and a Fidanza flywheel, it seriously took about 1200 miles for my clutch to really feel "broken in" I am very happy with this set up and think you will be pleased with it, when you do learn to launch with this clutch it feels like you have been scooped up by the hand of a god and given a boost forward.

Thank you all. I feel much better now. I got the clutch from RRE when my car was in dealer and they were about to put another stock clutch in. I didn't get the Fidanza flywheel but went with a new stock one since they'd already ordered it for me.
Anyway, beside the acting up in 1st gear, everything else is so good, feel like stock without the slipping, I can change gears much quicker now without misshift.
I got 18k miles on my car before the clutch went away after coming home from a drag in Carslbad, San Diego. The drag launchs really bad for the clutch so for those that never been to drag and planning to go please save some cash aside for a new clutch. Have a good father day to you all.

To update the subject:
My clutch is getting a lot better in first gear start now. I have about 120 miles break-in. The reverse gear is still acting up so and it's still smell when starting in first and reverse gears. The ACT clutch otherwise feel a lot stronger than stock, no slipping when WOT. I think it's a good clutch for the money.
