Aluminum is cheaper than stainless.
Stainless has better thermal characteristics for IC piping. Aluminum will transfer the engine bay heat into the charge air.

good to know, thanks bishiboy. GWDEVO8 and I are buds, I picked up derekw's old slightly damaged i/c piping and GWDEVO8 and I are trying to get it repaired and duplicate the piping for him. we were both curious of the advantages/disadvantages of aluminum over stainless. guess I always assumed that aluminum wouldl cost more.
