O.k. brain fart:

WRX uses a mistubishi turbo. Why don't we "steal" the turbo and intercooler from a wrx and the get a new oil pan, return line and the other stuff like controlers and try it out. Don't you think that we could probully take all the wrx parts from there turbos and sue them ina a lancer 2.0l because hey the wrx turbo kit is all around the mistuabishi turbo...there for it has gotta work...don'tcha think?

 

Yea, it will work. But it won't last long or be reliable. The lancer's 2.0 liter motor probably has too high of a compression to run a lot of boost on. But yea, it could be done. Anything could be done if you have the $$$.

And just because you are putting on a turbo doesn't mean it HAS to be a Mitsubishi turbo. You could fabricate ANY turbo and have it work.

You'd also have to get some nice stopping power too, and get rid of those gawd-awful drum brakes in the rear!
