I have heard a lot of problems about the evo tranny, particularly bad 5th gears, is any of this true, because I do not want to spend almost 30k on a car with tranny problems, I might as well buy a used supra.

I want the evo because it's awd, but if the tranny is garbag I will gladly take the rwd getrag with the supra.

Can anyone agree or disagree with this, please save me some time effort and money.

Number one I take the supra in a heart beat that is my dream car I have an evoVIII and yes the sincro's in the tranny SUCK in 2nd for me but i've heard about the 5th gear one being bad too but... the mr evo is suppose to have that problem cleared up just some food for thought
