If you do road courses, a tranny temp gauge can be useful on some cars. Is this necessary at all in Evos?

EGT is a good gauge to have but a wide band A/F is the next most important gauge. You can't tune 100% with a just a EGT. (I know I've tried on some of my cars in the past) Wide band is a very good investment. IMO

I would have to go with oil pressure as the second most important.

Water temp - stock gauge is really pretty acurate
EGT - too slow to really be useful (it will just tell you it's hot outside)
oil temp - pretty much in relation to water temp so if your water temp is going up then your oil temp will be going up

fuel pressure - important if you a aftermarket fuel rail and RRFPR

Air / Fuel fisrt tune for lean or rich conditions as you add mods, egt is not accurate enough to tune by. I haven't be to a dyno that used egt to tune for, off and on boost conditions. I would include be able to monitor your'e timing before boost gauge just for safety. No use trying to make hp before you know what you motor is doing.
1st: Air / fuel Wideband

If you are tuning yourself, EGT or A/F. Otherwise, oil pressure as the car doesn't have one stock.
