My CEL just came on!!!! :(
I was pulling into the gas station and because of my BOV my car stalled. It always gets close but doesn't ever really stall. Well this time it did, and it took a couple of truns before the engined fired up. I pulled up to the pump and did the refuel thing. Then got back in started the car and the CEL was on, and has been on for the rest of the evening.
I made sure the gas cap was on tight, and yes it was aamco 93 octane!
It is running fine too. I even turned the car off for awhile and then cranked it up, but the CEL was still there.
Any ideas? Do you thing this has something to do with my HKS BOV, I do have the recirc kit installed.

you can clear it, it might be a MAF error, take it to autozone and check the code. if you were around here i'd let you use mine
anyway... check.
if you want you can clear it by removing the neg. battery terminal for 3-5 seconds, it clears the code, but won't reset your clock/radio and other stuff.

Nastea: What kind of scan tool are you using? Can you use any obd2 reader to check and clear codes? I know that on my S4, disconnecting the battery will leave a soft code in the ecu. This lets the dealer know that the battery has been disconnected for whatever reason. I wonder if it's the same with the Evo...
