Clutch Question
Clutch Question
I was just wondering, since i have a ACT clutch and pressure plate, can i use the pressure plate and use a different disk, like a Exedy disk or Cusco disk without their pressure plates?
I used to buy discs from here: http://www.clutchnet.com/make/prodDesc.html They have Evo specific discs third from the top of the page here: http://www.clutchnet.com/make/mitsubis.html To answer your question though, they should fit, but I'd get with the manufacturer...

Seriously though, we use an Exedy disc to start out with and put our steel backed performance linings on it. The only other modification is that our disc has less cushioning between the linings so that it takes less travel to operate and improves the pedal disengagement point. I am not sure how much cushioning other discs have but the Exedy can work with a little more adjustment than the ACT disc. If you are talking about the Exedy ceramic then it should work as long as it is .315" thick and 240mm (not the smaller Hyper type). If you have any other questions feel free to email me direct.
