? about RMR 3" turbo back?

I have heard nothing but good reviews however i have one question that is bugging me. From those who own this turbo back, can you still use the stock cat, or would i have to buy a high flow cat?

Also any pos. or neg. statments on this exhaust would be a big help.

You can use the stock cat or a high flow cat.

yep, the downpipe and the exhaust both bolts on to the stock cat.....and you can get a testpipe to bolt on or the Ultimate Racing high flow/Random high flow to bolt right on also with these pieces.

Hey thanks, will save me some $$ in the mean time. Now if possible some testamony would be great.

But for the record BR was my 1st choice, but i can keep my warrenty if i use RMR so sorry David for all the pointless emails.

currently the rmr catback and rmr downpipe is in my car with the ultimate racing high flow cat.....the power gains are definitely nice and comparable to most exhausts. You might get robbed a bit of power because of the 2 resonators for the catback though....but other than that, it's pretty straight. The downpipe requires you to remove or replace the lower cross arm bars with aftermarket to fit but other than that the catback and the downpipe bolts on perfectly. The sound is definitely not too loud and does not have any kind of fart-can sound off or on throttle. IT's just a nice deep growl. Overall I'm very satisfied with rmr for their exhaust/downpipe.

Yes RMR over there will know what to do, they did the work for me as well....it's because the lower cross arms stock gets in the way of their downpipe so you can buy RMR's custom lower cross arm (the one I'm using) or theres other socal guys that fabricated their own also and you get one of those. If you don't want the lower cross arm, you can just take it off and fit the downpipe.....you do lose some handling abilities while doing this removal though.

most likely you won't void the warranty....you're replacing a bar....that's it....no effect on the car really whatsoever except to make the downpipe fit. Here's a link to the crossbar:

http://www.rmrproducts.com/products/evo8/suspension.htm

It's the top one. The lower arm brace.

YES you can put a stock cat or high flow cat on. BUt I reccomend the Perrin Cat delete pipe with the o2 sensor. GO with some sort of cat delete cus the stock cat will kill hp. I love my RMR.

The cat delete wont pass smog tho correct? Then again i was also told that because the car is new it wont need to be smoged for 5 years. But i also dont want to get pulled over - a cat.

So long sorty short, should i wait and save for a HF Cat of some sort.

I have been very happy with the RMR products. The exhaust is very well made and the sound is a very nice deep tone and it is not too loud at all.

I think you will need a CAT to pass smog testing...
