Let me know how the Turbosmart unit works for you....I'm looking to buy ASAP and have some bonus money burning a hole in my wallet.
It didn't fit with my AEM intake.

I decided to go with the MR Diverter Valve instead.

I'm also interested in trying to do what I can to help minimize turbo lag between shifts, and I'm thinking a good BOV could help.

However, I've heard that the Evo's running BOV's vented to atmosphere like a Greddy Type S cause idle problems. I want to avoid this. Will the XEDE eliminate this problem?

How can I get the quickest turbo response with an aftermarket BOV (vent to atmos) without having idle problems?

I've tried searching the board but could not find the answer.

Thanks in advance
With your mods, you'll get a lot more bang for the buck with cam gears. Then you can run V's race gas maps with your xede as they are downloadable for the Stage 1 onward. You don't need a bov yet.

The BOV, DV, or CBV (Compressor Bypass Valve) may be able to minimize lag depending on how efficiently and quickly the valve or piston returns to it's seat as you get back on the throttle and begins sealing the positve boost pressure. Design, quality, and set-up will all contribute to this and after testing all of the brands and models available in the U.S., the GFB Stealth FX proves to be the most functional, reliable, and user friendly. The spring tension can be adjusted by hand without replacing springs or using shims, and the 16-position proportioning valve adjustmet is also adjusted by hand on-the-fly from full recirc to full VTA and everything in between.
It's a complete 100% drop-in piece that we QC and preset (for EVOs) before we ship to you with WORKS and GFB install and adjustment instructions. If you purchase the Stealth FX here on-site, we'll install it for FREE!
Hope this helps.
