Cams

FYI, Tomei Procams come in 11.5 mm lift with durations of 260/270/280 degrees depending on your requirements.

Dunno about the Works cams. But I think your setup should determin what kind of cams you want and where you wan the powerband to be.

have you consider Piper cams ?
265/265 11.5mm or 272/272 12.0mm
www.quatum-racing.com

Piper Rally Cam Set - EVO
The "Rally" cam set is ideal for turbo EVO's with headwork (road course, highway). They feature 265 degrees of duration with 11.50/11.50 mm (IN/EX) lift. These cams are the result of years of EVO-specific tuning and development. The cams are designed with assymetric lob profile for quick open and easy set down for the most high-lift time possible without sacrificing valve seat life. These cams require upgraded valvespring kit to permit higher valve lift. Duration at 1mm; 217/217 deg (IN/EX).

Piper Ultimate Road Cam Set - EVO
The "Ultimate Road" cam set is ideal for stock turbo (autocross) or midrange-oriented big turbo EVO's. They feature 265 degrees of duration with 11.50/10.80 mm (IN/EX) lift. These cams are the result of years of EVO-specific tuning and development. The cams are designed with assymetric lob profile for quick open and easy set down for the most high-lift time possible without sacrificing valve seat life. These cams require upgraded valvespring kit to permit higher valve lift. Duration at 1mm; 217/211 deg (IN/EX).

Piper Race Cam Set - EVO
The "Race" cam set is ideal for turbo EVO's with full headwork and manifolds (drag). They feature 272 degrees of duration with 12.00/12.00 mm (IN/EX) lift. These cams are the result of years of EVO-specific tuning and development. The cams are designed with assymetric lob profile for quick open and easy set down for the most high-lift time possible without sacrificing valve seat life. These cams require upgraded valvespring kit to permit higher valve lift, etc. Duration at 1mm; 224/224 deg (IN/EX).

WORKS uses a different system for measuring maximum lift

I am not sure if anyone has gotten an answer from about max. lift them that can be compared apples-to-apples against other Evo cams.

I am also not sure if their 274 cams are out.

I have the Tomei 260 pro cams...they are awesome, idle is pretty smooth mid range and top end are incredible. I would definitely reccomend the pro cams.

Tomei came out with a few new cams also. Now you can get 260, 270, 280 duration with 11.5 or 11.8! Plan on changing springs and retainers.
