There is a TSB out on this...I'm having the same problem. Take it to a Mitsu Dealer...I don't know what the TSB # is but they do

Ya I had the same problem, but in 4th. They replaced 3rd, 4th, 5th & Reverse gears, syncros, sleeves & speed gear all under warranty.

Whats a TSM # and did you guys have any mods. There really strict about that **** out here in Cali. Thanks for the replys.

It's TSB - Technical Service Bulletin - Whenever there's a known problem, a car manufacturer will issue a TSB, which gives details of the issue.
