Cool Cat Back system. Worthwhile?

Evo 7 with simple bolt-ons.
My next mod can be a cat back system. I would like to know if this mod is a must or not. After a cat back system what kind of performance improvement will I have and in what rpm power band? What will change from 1000rpm to 3500rpm?
Any help I would appreciate

The gains are imense. IMO you should do a complete trubo back exhasut system. Of course you need to start backwards like Catback, testpipe or HF cat, and downpipe..

I was completely amazed at the change after just the cat back. The car ran much smoother, and I could feel a gain. I highly recommend it. But do your research. If you choose unwisely you may end up loosing power and drivability. PM me if you want more info. I got the HKS Carbon TI and love it.

Good luck!

This is not true in my case.

I think you need to list your goals / desires in order of importance. With a 3" exhaust, you will pick up increased cabin noise. PERIOD!. It will vary to some degree, but it will not be quieter than stock.

If I had to do it again, I think I would keep my dp & mid pipe, get a high flow cat ( random tech or car-sound) & the works mstealth muffler. You will get about 65% of the gains of a 3" system without the increased attention from the potential rice look from cops, noise attention & you will maintian 85% of the stock sound within the cabin.

As you can tell, cabin noise is a concern of mine, so thats why I voice it.

Good luck with your decision.
