Did the SS clutch line, but all the hype??

Ok well i finally got my SS clutch line in tonight from http://www.speed-source.net

The line is very nice quality, and had no issues with putting it on. The clutch feels a little better, but not up the the hype that everyone has made it sound. Do you think i just waited to long with around 21k on the stock clutch?? It feels good, I was just expecting more.

i am surprised you don't see a reason to considering you are looking for the difference that it makes and not finding it.

i have read on here, and was also told by other evo owners that the restrictor is probably not a good idea.

If you have any clue how to work a clutch properly under different circumstances and power levels and speeds, it is a GREAT idea. If you think that dropping the clutch is the solution to all your launching and shifting needs, I'd leave it in.

I felt a huge difference in the clutch after removing the restrictor. Before I removed it, I really had to rev the car to get it going. After I removed it, the clutch felt better because I no longer needed to get the RPM's up to get her going.

Mitsubishi puts the resistor in to keep people from doing all wheel drive launches and to keep them from replacing a lot of clutches.

I've had my restrictor out for 10,000 miles. No problems. I have 16,000 on the stock clutch

26k on the stock clutch, and removed the restrictor around 3k. Best thing I've done, less synchroshift, to the drivetrain. Mind you I have 8 slipped drag launches total (and will probably never have another). So for the non-drag racer, you owe it to yourself to remove it (biggest difference). If it bothers you, put it back in.

I agree, the difference is very slight. The only mod I've done that made the shifting feel noticably better was the linkage bushings (under-hood). Helped a lot with the "feal" of the stick.

yeah, those will probably come eventually. I was just wanting to get kind of the spongieness gone and when taking off having to slip the clutch as much everytime.
