Question Perrin Downpipe Owners

Do any of you think is neccessary, or did you have to buy a lower tie arm that would clear the perrin downpipe properly?

I bought one just incase, but you could use some spacers if you didn't want to spend the extra $$$$. It is a really nice piece, but as far as handling benefit.......who knows, I didn't notice anything.
