Degreeing camshafts?

I just recieved my hks 272's, cam gears and head studs. I have done cam swaps and installs on domestic engines that were out of the vehicle and it is always popular to degree the cams with a degree wheel. Just wondering if this is even possible with the evo while the motor is in the car.

Has anyone done this? In the car or out of the car. Your thoughts?

I have seen the post in the website of evo-moto (I believe thats the name of the website) for cam install, but I was also thinking of picking up an evo service manual to use or follow along. Wondering if it would be helpfull in cam installation or not. yay or nay -Wayne

um, that is what your cam gear does. advances or retards the cam.

the term "degreeing a cam" referred to the old pushrod days when there weren't adjustable cam gears.
