Vishnu X-flash review
Vishnu X-flash review
Hello All,
Just wanted to share with you my experience with a recent (only 2 hours ago) Vishnu X-flash. My flash was performed at a recent Chicago dyno day with Vishnu as the resident expert tuner.
With the help of some local evo owners (sorry but I am bad with names :-), my ECU was removed and reinstalled in less than 15 minutes and that is including the flash and boost tube install. I went with Vishnu's basic X-flash with boost tube upgrade (ie no dyno time).
Initial impressions seem very favorable. Idle is rock steady even after having the batttery disconnected for the ECU removal, in the past it woud idle a little rough and pulling from a stop was a little hesitant with every batter disconnection. Absolutely no issues whatsoever after the flash. With the ambient temps around 80+ deg F and high humidity I wasn't expecting much since in my experience before with turbo cars would typically involve a parachute like effect at higher rpms. Post-flash, there is a noticeable improvement from idle to redline. Acceleration was very SMOOTH without any of the previous hesitation and acceleration dropoff at high rpms. The car pulls right up to the rev limiter without a worry. Needless to say I am very pleased with the end result and look forward to trying the acceleration when the temps drop...maybe later this evening :-).
Overall, my experience with Shiv and the whole dyno day experience was very positive (thanks Shiv and Erioshi for making this event happen). The car is so much more enjoyable driving and this is coming from a previous 2G eclipse owner (12.01 @117mph).
