Magnecor Spark Plug Wires

Does anyone else have fitment issues with the mangecor spark plug wires? Mine seem to want to slip off the coil packs as though they are a little too small.

I have Magnecor wires for my US Lancer and I had that problem of them trying to slip off when the car was hot. Make sure you don't try and install them right after you drive your car. The coil pack connector expands when it is hot and probably can't fit the plug over it.

So just wait till the car is nice and cool and then try and put them on, push them on pretty good too.

Yea, seems a bit crappy fitting overall. It doesn't completely cover the spark plug holes and it actually slipped off on me once already which caused me to misfire. I do not recommend these spark plug wires at all. I only bought them because one of my stockers had corrosion on it.

I thought the same thing, I actually drove aorund with one of the boots not fully suctioned down.

But like I said, when I waited when the whole car was nice and cool, all the boots and connectors connected nice and tight. Just let your car sit over night, and in the morning push em back on, and the boots down untill they suction on.

Now my wires are good. Hopefully you get the same.

Yea, I did that I also zipped tied them and one still managed to slip a tiny bit off enough to cause a high rpm misfire. I thought I detonated, hehe.

It the air you are trying to compress. If you can get access to a hypo needle. You can stick it in and suck out the air, then they will stay down. You can probably just use a regular needle too and the pressure of pushing down will force the air out.
