Couldn't be happier HKS 264/272 cams

I've got the cams in the car for about 3 weeks now and it's so much fun to drive it Just makes me want to stump on the the gas all the time. The car is not fully tune yet but she hauls ***....while I was installing the cams I also installed ARP cylinder head studs too. Another happy camper with cams

It is a little choppy on the idle but not loud. Mines not tune yet but the power is amazing. Idles at 8-9K hasn't stall yet and drove it through a couple of rush hour days. Very frustrated cause no open lanes in rush hours to let her rip...

did you install the cam gear too? i asked XS engineering, they told me not to rev so high on stock valvetain with 272 cam . I'm still frustrate of.. should i get the valvetain?.. and i couldn't find which valvetain suitable for HKS cams. Does the Jun valvetain can be use with HKS cams??

i was told our stock injector is good enough as long as you don't upgrade to bigger turbo or boost too high ( 24psi )......

i got the cams already.. i still confuse with some of the issue.

Well can you boost 24psi to redline with the HKS Cams and 660cc Greddy injectors without the 255 Fuel Pump upgrade?

Yeah...that's what I meant, thanks for the correction.

I chose this combination cause it seems a few well known vendors are using it and recommending it on their web sites. I do notice more power mid to high rpm range, actually throughout the whole powerband.

and as far as traffic, come to hawaii. it is freakin ridiculous from 4-6PM.
I may just do that sometime in the future. The wife has been begging me to bring her there for a vacation get away.

ArchieBabes, I do have the 255 walbro feul pump. Stock injectors. When installing, take your time on the ex. cam. When I did mine, I didn't do any research and almost end up breaking the angle sensor of. At the end the the ex. cam, there's this triangular plate, you need to take the plate off (3-10mm bolt) and unbolt the 12mm bolt that goes into the ex. cam or the cam won't come lose. If you don't have an impact wrench make sure you losen the 12mm bolt before you unbolt the bearing bolts on the ex. cam.

the fuel pump is not too expensive. if you can afford the Cam and injector, why not spend a little bit more?

No cam gears. Valvetrain and retainers are stock. Redline every moment in my car @ 23-24 psi. Sorry my boost gauge only reads up to 1.5 bars. I have it set just a little over the 1.5 mark. I last checked the back of my car and it's still covered with black shooty powder from exhaust. I'm guessing I'm still a little rich from the upgrade fuel pump.

i would say 2.5 maybe 3. harder than exhaust/intake. easier than clutch.

Forgive my ignorance...264/272 is that 264 intake 272 exhaust? or the other way around or what? Im ordering my Vishnu stage 1 kit monday and Id like to drop some cams in while the other stuff is getting installed...the place that's doing the installation is also dyno tuning the car so It would be convienient to do it all at once.
