HELP HELP Radiator leaking........
After installing the HKS RS Intake, I took it around for a test drive and found out something is leaking, and then I saw that the color is greenish color which is coolant. How in the world does installing an intake gotta do with the radiator leaking? I checked the hose and everything is fine, no cuts or anything like that. Could the bottom plastic part of the radiator be cracked??
How much would getting a new one cost??

you can get a new KOYO rad. for $400 (www.z1auto.com)
You need to get it pressure tested to find out exactly where the leak is. Any gas station with a service bay can do this.
I've seen new & used on Ebay..............

Since you were working in that area, I would guess that you simply punctured one of the radiator hoses.
Check them out by simply sqeezung them when the car is off, and see if anything squirts out.

This sucks.......I looked under and couldn't find anything wrong...The hoses seems to be ok.......But I do know that the leak is from the bottom of the radiator and not on top. Does radiator break that easily???? I heard from a friend that if you bump it slightly it can break.....
Radiator is extremely fragile. I poked a hole in my radiator while installing a boost controller. If the hole is big you are gonna have to get a REPLACEMENT one since the radiator is aluminum and is difficult to find rad. shops that will work on it, most patches will only last a few months. Get the arc replacement rad.

Yeah the radiator is very easy to punch a hole in. I got mine installing a boost controller. You may want to look at the radiator around the area that you were working in and see if you see any bent fins. Also check underneath the upper radiator hose.
just did the same thing tonight! installing i/c hoses and maf pipe. removed the fan housing
to get a bit more room to reach the hose clamp on the turbo. set the fan up above the tranny
and it slide down while i was getting a wrench. corner of the fan tagged the radiator and that's
all she wrote.
looking for the best replacement. i figure some good aftermarket one with even better cooling
will be cheaper than stock.
any recommendations?
don't mean to jack your thread but i figure you need this info too unfortunately.
thanks,
sean

Man, I don't think we could get away from atleast 400 bucks for a new aftermarket one.......Thats the cheapest I've seen so far for the Koyo one.....Why in the world would they make a radiator so fragile when the unit serves a pretty big part in a car which is to cool it to a save optimum level.....
