HKS Kansai Street Spec exhaust fitted
I recently installed my HKS Kansai cat back and love it. It is 3" from the cat back with polished 304 stainless pipe and resonator. It is a straight thru muffler with a 4 3/4" tip. I wasn't sure about the tip when I took it out of the box. I was like
that thing is huge, but once it was on the car it filled in the opening nicely and looks pretty good.
It took me a day or two of driving to decide whether or not I liked the sound of it. At first I thought "this thing sounds kind of ricey, I've become one of those people I make fun of. Nooooo!" So I made a friend drive it while I followed in his GTO so I could hear what it sounded like from behind and realized it sounds bad ***.
When he was following me back to the shop he said he thought it sounded like a WRC without the anti-lag. I figure it can't sound much cooler than that.
I was really impressed with how the boost comes in now, it's not like a light switch anymore. It is much more progressive and the engine feels stronger everywhere. I'll try to get some pics up once my girlfriend empties out the memory card on my camera.

Thanks, I use Zaino and I'm exteremly **** retentive with my car. I wash it twice a week on average. I used Meguiars or Zymol for a long time then, one day I figured what the hell I'll try Zaino. I couldn't believe the difference. It is definately some good stuff.
I used Eibach to drop it just a little. I had Tein High Techs in my first Evo and they looked good but, didn't handle well and ride quality got very bouncy after a while. I like the Eibachs alot.

It has been over a year since I posted in this but, I've recently added cams to my car and the thing sounds cool as hell now. It has a bit of a lope to it and the exhaust snarls and cracks at idle now. It sounds mean. It doesn't seem to sound much different to me at WOT. I also have a DP and hi flow cat which have been on there for about 8 months now.
