Alot of people seem to run the Denso IW24 or the IW27 for colder plugs, but I wanted to stick with NGK's so I picked up a set of BR9EIX ( 2 range colder just like the IW27. ) @ $6.50 a piece they were worth a try. I used copper plugs before but had a misfire problem once the boost went over 13-15 psi.
So far I've put about 1000 miles on the BR9EIX's without a problem. I can't say that they feel smoother or it idles better, but they are no worse than stock. Now just to let you know I didn't have any problems with the stock plugs; I just wanted colder plugs due to the increase in HP.
Although I can't feel it,but the dyno graph shows a smoother top end which in turn show less timing being pulled.
So for all looking for something cheaper than Denso'sm but still Iridium try the BR8EIX for one step colder or the BR9EIX for 2 step colder.
Just my 2 cents.

Why most of Evo owners are looking for colder spark plugs?
Something wrong with the stock heat range?
BTW, I'm planning to buy Ralliart Spark Plugs heat Range from 7 to 9, What Do you suggest for a stock car?
