ok good replies...

first off I have had the same nitrous kit on all my cars, it just keeps getting recycled... so I dont have to buy anything just have to install it. You really dont see too many people on here using nitrous so I thought I might test the waters to see, there is an obvious difference between an evo and a camaro when using nitrous of course

erioshi - Where does the power start to drop off compared to stock? Or does it pull all the way up? and how high are you reving too? Also do you have a copy of the dyno? sorry for all the questions but I really want to get a look at the torque and HP graphs on this cam because I do believe it will prove to be a great cam for the stock turbo or larger turbo, not to mention it bumps up nearly everywhere on the curve "supposedly"

as for the larger turbo and everything, it will come but it all takes time, I realize that I cant use the nitrous all the time as I have had nitrous on my prior cars, Plus if I go for a spirited drive or go to the track to practice my skills, I believe that 350whp is plenty for me right now... I am at 290whp now I have an ACT clutch with heavy duty street disc coming as well as a fidanza flywheel, that coupled with either the Buschur head or the BJCH and the piper cams and gears should give me well over that... I would guess it would put me around 360whp but maybe optimistic... not to mention the ability to rev a bit higher without the worries

I am leaning towards the order of Head and Cams, all other little things(intercooler short shifter blowoff etc.), turbo, then Stroker but I am still just thinking out loud one more thing to all is, knowing the piper specs do I have to worry about the stock turbo dying up top given that I go in the order above... I would think I would have no trouble with the head or the head with any other boltons, but after that I would need at least a moderatee turbo upgrade correct?

Edit: Oh ya just to add on the Buschur head vs. BJCH head... one of the main reasons I was looking at the BJCH head was that there was no down time... they send you the head then after you put it on you send them your old one... As far as I know Buschur was not able to do this... although I admit I talked to tim quite a while ago and maybe they have a few heads done in the shop now... if someone could clarify it would be great... also I like the ferrea dual springs on those high lift cams I have never heard a bad thing about them... but for the ferrea parts and the ability to have no down time I would pay the extra 300 bucks...

Optimistic? I said 50Lb/FT for the cams, larger valves, and headwork. If anyhing he should see more.

Not saying it doesn't add power, just an expensive mod (parts/labor) for small relative gain. He can use the money more effectively elsewhere. When it comes to modifying cars, better to plan it all out well so you don't waste money changing things later.

I say go for the stroker. More torque, plus it's a good foundation to start with.

I have planned much of this out... and a new head will go great with a new GT3076 or a GT35RL... a stroker would go great too... I'm pretty sure I wouldnt switch either of them back or to something else later... theres nothing to go to other than back to stock... I know I could spend less and get more... I could go buy the buschur IC and the pipers with springs and everything for less but why not get one of the 3 Big things(turbo, Head, Stroker) out of the way... I already have EM done... so everything else is a few hundred dollars here and there... except those 3

I'll try to get some before and after charts posted. I can't provide before and after dyno plots because there wasn't an AWD dyno in my area until after I had already installed the cams.

What I can do though, is go back to my G-Tech plots for the different upgrades I've done and then run a new set with the cams now that they are reasonably tuned. I'll also see if I can grab a plot from a stock Evo or two that has been run on the same dyno.

I did the exhaust, XEDE, cams (and am planning to do the headwork) before addressing the intercooler, piping, turbo, etc. because I want to get all the basics and internal stuff out of the way first. After that I can bolt on the new parts and re-tune. Without needing to pull out other mods I've just installed.

im looking at the same route and doing the headwork and cams would seem as the best option, you need the valvesprings to run those type of cams. Might as well take the advantage that mark from Quantum provides with the entire package.
As far as down time, thats also a big plus. He will ship the head to you , have it install and then send him your old one, with no down time.
I don't think Buschur provides that , and if you do David can you post what options you have available, last time i call they didnt do that.

Id guess it would start to fall around 6k RPM if you have headwork and rally cams. If you did the strocker on top of this it would be even sooner. These are just guesses. If I were you Id talk to some of the guys in the UK. They seem to have alot of experience with the pipers/headwork.

When it comes down to it youd really have to know how much CFM the motor is flowing to decided how big the turbo needs to be. Its all about matching the right size turbo for the flow the engine makes throughout the whole powerband.
