Question Cam combo

OK, this subject has been beaten like a dead horse. Although there is still some questions floating out there which is still a little concerning.

My understanding is if you want to keep the stock turbo the straight 264's are perfect. A 264i/272e is just ridiculous as it impairs performance. A 272i/264e makes more sense b/c of the EVOs nature of design.

My question then is whats going to make more sense? A 272i/272e or a 272i/264e as far as best performance.

Thanks

You should really think about how you are going to tune your car once you have the cams in. If you are doing safc and boost controller, a full AMS standalone, or a chip/reflash like Vishnu. Then see what setup they recommend, which usually is what they have the most experience with as well. I personally plan on the vishnu one plus, with the 264/272 setup. In the other months SCC Evo Orgy, the vishnu laid down some great numbers on reace fuel.

I know what you are saying but it will be difficult to find someone with the exact same parts as a vendor unless they build the entire thing from the ground up for the buyer. Every car has to be tuned slighlty different for the variance of the mods. I would assume that you go with any cam combo you want as a stand alone can help tune out any defficiences. The question is which setup promotes the most power?
