A Question about Titanium Exhausts
A Question about Titanium Exhausts
Other than weight and looks, is there any other advantage to purchasing a titanium exhaust? Does it get as dull looking as a regular exhaust over time, or does it keep it's finish longer? I don't plan on making it a race car, so I don't think that a few pounds savings will make that big of a difference. I like the way the titanium exhaust tips look, but I just can't decide......
I'm just debating whether I should get the GReddy Titanium, HKS Carbon Ti exhaust or just the regular HKS Hi-power exhaust.
Opinions?

Sup,
I've got the greddy Ti and I'm so surprised on how its held up its finish. If I took it off the car wiped it off with just some water (to get dirt off), you'd never know it ws even on my car. Titanium resists heat MUCH better than SS, so the discoloration doesn't happen as much (or if any at all in my experience).

and you probably won't have to worry about holes getting punched into the metal and things if you lower your car
of the three you mentioned, i wouldn't even consider hi-power unless it was the 30th anniversary. i'm in the same position as you (can't decide between greddy and hks), but the stainless steel metal is, imo, a better investment than the coating on the regular hi-power.

if it's between hks and greddy keep in mind that the hks is only ti on the canister. greddy is full ti, piping and all. jic is also full ti piping but it uses band clamps and not flanges.
