tuning at idle

Is there a way on the evo to either increase fuel or decrease fuel via SAFC or SAFR without the computer recorrecting it? I know the computer runs closed loop at idle thus being able to learn out and adjust any corrections made, but is it possible that it would help a really lean or really rich conditon by also adjusting one of the 2 piggybacks or will the computer just always do whatever it feels like?

The ECU will always fight your corrections (assuming they are not what 'it' wants to run) when it is in closed loop.

Set your SAFC so that it will only idle at Wide Open Throttle. That oughta work.

I know with the XEDE I can force it to intercept everything from idle up. I did that and made changes to the base TPS and RPM cells to help with my idle. I still need to go back and look at my idle speed, though.

I have heard that increasing your idle speed slightly can help reduce your lope.

take out all the fuel I guess so that you have to floor it to idle. it was a joke.
