possible to fix this downpipe?

OK, here's my problem. Recently I bought a TXS-Tuner and wanted to get the O2 bung welded on to the downpipe (TXS) but unfortunately I don't have anything to lift the car and inspect it from underneath so I can determine what the best location for that would be. So I asked around for advice and probably understood it incorrectly.
Result - bung is touching the oil pan and there's no way in hell I can ever put the wideband sensor in it because there's no room.
So the million dollar question is, is it possible to fix the downpipe?
What I mean is, remove the bung, close it up and reweld it at another place where I can actually put the sensor in.
Someone maybe knows a shop in NJ where I could do it?
Here's pics...
