Who has knowledgable info on mr bov?
I am wondering how much boost the mr bov can handle and when it will start to leak. There seems to be alot of people that have had problems with aftermarket bov's that require alot of tinkering with...and sometimes they still aren't happy with them.
The stock unit seems to have issues with much more thatn 19psi. I plan to run about 23-24 on a high boost map and am looking at this valve and any good alternate unit that is proven to work reliably.
thanks

Its the BOV from the EVO MR.
I have it, and it holds boost fine at 21 psi. I havent tested it at anything above that yet. Not successfully anyways.
the only issue i can think of is when driving in stop and go traffic witht he AC on it likes to drop down to about 500 rpm or so and almost stall. But it hasnt stalled on me yet.

LOL.. Mr. BOV struck me as funny..
I think its going to depend on the vacuum signal its getting.. Some people are having better luck than others. It "Should" hold 22-23psi of boost all day long as long as its getting a good signal.. Its part throttle opening, and whistling/fluttering that may be affected most. I don't have the MR though. I have a crushed 1G DSM which holds ok, but the spring rate is too low so it opens too easily at part throttle.

The mr. (mister) bov...
.
Yeah, I plan on going up to about 22on my 94 oct. map and a little higher on a race gas map. So I am looking for a bov that will hold and not give me any problems.
It seems a high quality bov that holds boost well, doesn't let the car stall is a too much to ask for.
Maybe I will just get the greddy and do the spring mod and live the louder bov.
Any more thoughts?
Just for the record I will have cams, sprockets, headstuds, ams fmic, and fuel upgrade. Just waiting for the latest utec firmware.

just get a bov that recirculates (greddy, hks) and if is dips down who cares. like they say there is no free lunch your gonna lose something its no big deal. i have no problems with my car with vta hks
manofaith, you can try the Forge recirculating bov, If you're still using the stock airbox, I'm boosting 28psi peak with no problems. Only a little studder at high rpm lift throttle, idling is good and stable...
