I thought the 2 lines coming pff the boost solenoid was 1) teh line from the waste gate goes to it and the other goes into a nipple off the inlet pipe to the turbo.

If I were still using the factory boost control parts, I'd connect them exactly as you have described. However I have no idea if it would actually work since I use an MBC.

BTW, "surge tank" is how the vacuum routing diagram refers to the intake manifold.

I took the exisiting line running from the surge tank to the DV and cut it and joined it with a "T" fitting. I then took that long "joined" piece of hose and connected it to the "T". Now it runs like crap. The lower IC is secure and there is no rattling or leaking. We were undser the car and cheacked while at throttle.

My noise is like a whining or buzzing sound. And the car doesnt want to boost. Well at least not correctly.
I know what you're talking about .. the HKS kit that I bought also came without that nipple thing ..

The T barb where it splits to the nipple and the wastegate .. remove that tube that used to go to the nipple altogether .. replace it with a longer tube and connect this to the DV boost reference .. join it however you like .. but make sure you ZIPTIE the hoses !!! (ask me how I know !! )

The whining and buzzin sound I had was caused by the loose bolt between the compressor outlet and the pipe that goes to the intercooler.. my explanation for the buzz was when the compressed air comes out between the joints .. the gasket vibrates so much that it makes the buzz and whistling noise .. I also have no issues when I'm at idle or when there's no boosting .. this only appears when the boost hits around 10psi .. you hear this loud "WHEEE BLEA" thing ..

try looking for the loose portion 1st .. then worry about the tubes .. coz when the tubings popped .. I didn't get any whistling noise ..

Oh yes .. bad flange/warped gasket/warped flange all contributes to the noise .. find out what you have 1st ..

You'll be ok .. just lack of TREMENDOUS power .. really .. I have power meter in the car (the kind for fun ..) .. it registered a measly 150hp versus the normal 270ish .. call it a toy .. but it's consistent ..

Then again .. why would you want to boost with a unsure problem in the car ??

Hope you solve your problem ASAP ..

It was the pipe coming off the turbo. Wasnt sealed all the way. Had plenty of room to be bolted down better. Just could really get it tight becasue the wastegate was pushing against it and what not.
