Hitting the Rev Limitter? - Claude/Michaelk

Are there any adverse effects of hitting the rev limitter (soft limiter) too often in an Evo ? I don't have a shift light yet but when I really push the car hard I hit the soft limitter quite often. What kinda damage can this do to the internals? Can't help getting carried away in each gear as the acceleration seems infinite in this beast of a car!.

So I take it the power-band of EVOs are in the 3000-5000 RPM range?

Why not listen to the car as it trounces through the revs? I'm sure by now you have to be more familiar with the dynamics of your machine.
