Break In Process?

Hey how are you all?
I just got my evo and I was wondering if any one has heard about the correct way to break it in. should i take out the synthetic oil and put conventional in for the first 750 miles to help seat the rings and valve guides? any help on this would be great thank you!

With that process it is probably why alot of people are having drivetrain problems.

This brings up a question: Doesn't Mitsu. from the factory run all their motors on an engine dyno just to make sure they are up to standards?

No. And you can question all you want, but read the article - it's very substantive and very well researched. And I don't know if David Buschur has ever read the article, but this is also how he breaks in his engines. The only reason why your clutch will die is if you slip it at 6K RPMs.

The article talks about engine break-in. There are different ways to break-in the clutch. Different ways to break-in the tranny and different ways for the whole drivetrain. To really break-in an engine is on a engine dyno.
